Ingredients

  • Rice – 1 cup
  • Water – 3 cup
  • Ghee – 3 tbsp
  • Sliced potato – 1 no
  • Beans – ½ cup
  • Green bell pepper – ½ cup
  • Chopped onion – 1
  • Carrot – ¾ cup
  • Cauliflower – ½ cup
  • Cilantro – ¼ cup
  • Green chili – 2 no
  • Whole cashews – 10
  • Whisk yogurt – ¼ cup
  • Ginger & garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • Saffron – 1 pinch
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Garam Masala – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick – 1 no
  • Bay leaf – 1 no
  • Cardamom – 1 no
  • Black pepper & Cloves – 7 to 8
  • Sweet corn – ½ cup
  • Green peas – ½ cup

Method

  • Turn on Sauté mode in Insta Pot, add ghee, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, anistar, cardamom, black pepper, cloves and chopped onion.
  • Sauté till onion get golden brown. Now add ginger & garlic paste and sauté it for 30 second.
  • Now add, green chili, cauliflower, beans, sliced potato, carrot and mix it properly.
  • Add green bell pepper, sweet corn, peas, whole cashew and mix it well.
  • Then, add turmeric powder, salt as per taste, garam masala, coriander powder, yogurt, red chili powder, and mix it well.
  • Now add soaked rice, water and mix it well. Add lemon juice, diluted saffron and mix it well.
  • Add curry leaves. Sprinkle some chopped cilantro & fried onions.
  • Sauté it for 30 second. After that cancel the sauté mode.
  • Now, close the lid and set valve on sealing mode. Turn on Biryani mode for 15 minutes.
  • Open the lid carefully after releasing steam.
  • Fluff biryani gently and serve in a bowl.
