Description

Simple and easy Indian fudge or Indian mithai recipe made with dry fruits. This recipe does not have any extra added sugar and the sweetness is derived from dates or popularly known as khajoor. Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

  • Dates (Seedless) – 500 gm
  • Poppy seeds – ¼ cup
  • Clarified butter (ghee) – 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp
  • Almonds (Chopped) – 2 tbsp
  • Cashew (Chopped) – 2 tbsp
  • Pistachios (Chopped) – 2 tbsp
  • Pumpkin seeds – 3 tbsp (optional)

Method

  • Take seedless dates and grind in coarse texture. Now take them in a plate.
  • Now take a pan, add poppy seeds and roast it slightly. And then turn off the flame and keep it a side.
  • Further, add ghee in a pan and add almond, cashew, pistachios and roast on low flame and keep it a side.
  • Now take another pan add ghee and add grind dates texture and cook on low flame till they turn in smooth texture. Cook for 3 – 4 minutes.
  • Then add dry fruits in it and mix it well. Further take them in a bowl and let it be cool.
  • Take a half mixture and make a roll. Now spread poppy seeds and some pistachios and put date roll on it and roll it smoothly.
  • Further cover it with butter paper and set in fridge for 1 hour. After that cut them into equal pieces.
  • Delicious dry fruit roll is ready to serve.
