Ingredients

  • Full fat milk - 1 ½ ltr
  • Saffron strands – 1 tsp
  • Sugar – 50 grms
  • Pistachio flakes – 1 tsp
  • Chopped cashewnuts – 1 tsp
  • Almond flakes – 1 tsp
  • Cardamom powder (optional) – 1 tsp

Method

  • Let’s start to make basundi, take a deep or heavy pot and pour milk, stir and cook it on medium flame. And boil well.
  • Add saffron strands, keep cooking and then add sugar and stir it well and boil longer.
  • After that add cardamom powder, pistachio flakes, almond flakes, chopped cashewnuts, keep stir and boiled longer.
  • Now, cool this down completely.
  • Take it in a bowl and garnish with almond & pistachio flakes.
  • Ready to serve.
